The Met Gala - My Fashion Faves

Every year I wait in anticipation for the release of the Met Galas' red carpet looks. It's without doubt my favourite style event of the year, with celebrities pulling out all the stops for a jaw dropping style show. This year was no exception and the morning after the event the first thing I did when I woke up was check my feed for the outfits that were styled at the event.

This years theme was 'Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology'. On the carpet this theme was interpreted in many different ways, with many choosing to add metallic detailing, particularly when it came to accessorising. (Gigi Hadid's manicure reportedly cost $2000! Crazy I know.)

So these are my favourite looks from the evening, obviously everyone has different tastes and preferences but these were my personal stand out stars; 

Aja Naomi King - Prabal Gurung

Lucky Blue Smith and Pyper America Smith - H&M, what I particularly love about these outfits are that they are made by H&M!

                                                   

Karolina Kurkova - Marchesa, again another one of my tops picks from the evening, I adore the detailing and the garments ethereal nature.

Adriana Lima - Giambattaista Valli Haute Couture  

Alicia Vickander - Louis Vuitton, I don't know what it is about this look but I absolutely love it! 

Amandla Stenberg - Calvin Klein Collection

Guru Mbatha-Raw - Gabriela Hearst

Kate Hudson - Atelier Versace

Lily Collins - Valentino, I love the quirky white stripe running down the middle of her body to tie in the events' theme.

Rosie Huntington Whitely - Ralph Lauren Collection

Hannah Davis - Zuhair Murad 

Sienna Miller -Gucci 

Zoey Deutch - Dolce and Gabbana

Blake Lively - Burberry, personally I think that she is the Queen of the Met Gala, every year she tops her previous look (and she's pregnant!) In all honesty I'm not too sure where the events theme ties in here, but I don't care for that too much as she looks simply stunning.

Claire Danes - Zac Posen, I think this could quite possibly be my favourite look from the entire evening, its classy and elegant, with the Gals's theme of technology created in a brilliant and very beautiful way.
