It's Time for a Change...

So, late last night I was looking over my social media and I felt like something was missing, like there was a lost link between my blogging platforms. After a lot of staring and switching back and forth, I finally decided on what I felt was wrong; it was my name.

Sounds weird, let me explain, for all my media platforms I have a different domain name, for my twitter - @abbihomer, my instagram - @abiwithani and obviously my blog being 'itsajungleouttherex'. In my mind there was just a lack of consistency, and as these platforms are going to be crucial to my chosen career path I wanted to start again, fresh and new, (kind of).

When it comes to my social media platforms, in reality my Instagram is probably my most popular form of media and when speaking with people in regards to this part of my life, I am usually known as 'abiwithani' (although I did have a few people think 'withani' was my last name, which it isn't by the way) Just to clear up any confusion, my name stands for 'abi with an i'. I feel that this has a more personal connection to me and is simple enough to use across any future platform that I may create.

Now this might sound stupid, but, changing my blog name was actually quite a tough decision. This is because, despite my multiple different attempts at creating a blog, my name that has always remained the same. It's the name that my friends from home know me, when they secretly tell me they've read my blog (yes, you Ben) and a name that I thought long and hard about choosing. However, as of now (or in the next few days as I change things over) my blog will be called 'abiwthani', but key an eye out as 'itsajungleouthere' won't be gone completely, I don't think I could part with it after all these years! 

I know this post wasn't something usual for me, but I felt as though I needed to explain my reasoning and decision for changing things round a bit.
