Beauty Buy - Bondi Sands

It is no secret that I am a sucker for tanned skin, and this means a holy grail item for me will always be fake tan. So a few weeks ago I went into Superdrug and purchased ‘Bondi Sands’ fake tan. 

I purchased this product as I had heard nothing but positive reviews, it had been compared to Saint Tropez and for almost half the price it was definitely worth a try. When I bought this, it had £5 off in Superdrug so I only paid £10!I decided to get the fake tan mousse in Light/Medium as my skin is naturally pale and I wanted to add a nice glow to my skin.

When applying the mousse, I used a fake tan mitt, (mine is from Primark) and used a couple of pumps for my legs and arms. Then with the leftover product on the mitt I tanned my face. At first I wasn’t very keen on the initial smell of the tan, but I do feel that it doesn’t leave that stereotypical ‘fake tan smell’ that many of my cheaper brands do, which was definitely a plus.

The bottle suggests that you can apply a second coat after half an hour after the first, and on a couple of occasions I have done this. I found that the product dries very quickly, however I do find that a little of the excess tan comes of onto clothes and/or bedsheets, however again it is not as much as the cheaper brands I have used. I usually leave my tan overnight and wash off in the morning.

As for the colour I really feel that it leaves a much more natural tanned glow to your skin rather than giving it an orange twinge, which is the most important factor for me. As well as this I found that I only really need to re-apply the tan once a week, sometimes longer depending on my plans, and I found that a little product goes a long way. 
  (On the photos I've only applied 1 coat and slept in the product.)

Overall I am really happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable fake tan brand, however everyone’s skin is different and takes differently to fake tan, this is only my opinion and I can’t guarantee that it will work the same on your skin.
